Back in 2021, the critically acclaimed FBI franchise on CBS debuted its third installment, titled FBI: International. The most recent spin-off focuses on the International Fly Team, a group of operatives whose mission is to protect the United States from any and all potential dangers.
The series contains features that are typical of an FBI show, such as intense crime scenes and law enforcement authorities. Put that out of your mind, because despite the fact that the show is already in its second season, there is one particular character that the audience can’t stop discussing.

“FBI: International”: Most Popular Character Of The Series
The dog named Tank has quickly become the most popular character on the show. The dog is the team’s covert operative and the only animal in the history of the FBI franchise to have a recurring role in one of the shows.
The dog whose owner is Special Agent Scott Forrester is named Tank. Showrunner Derek Haas recently gave an interview to Parade in which he explained the reasoning behind the addition of a dog as a part of the squad. He stated, “We thought it would be amusing if Forrester had a dog that had a little history with the FBI.”
He went on to say that “[having a dog] was extraordinary; you had never seen it before.” “We do have to have a little bit of a difference from the other two shows, and having a dog going around with the team was something that we felt was great,” said the producer.
The canine has quickly gained notoriety and established themselves as a fan favorite on the FBI spin-off. Fans’ interest in Tank’s ancestry piqued almost immediately as they became acquainted with the lovable figure.
Tank: What Is The Breed Of The Dog?
New cast members, such as the Europol agent Smitty, were presented to the audience when the show resumed airing for its second season. Despite this, people continued to be interested in learning more about Tank, who was played by a dog named Green.
On the Wolf Entertainment website, his character blurb describes him as “Forrester’s schutzhund ‘protection dog.'” His name is stated as “Schutzhund Tank,” and his bio states that he is “Forrester’s schutzhund.”
It turns out that Tank is a massive schnauzer. The term “protection dog” comes from the German language and is translated into English as “schutzhund.” It is a sport that focuses on training a dog to develop and retain certain characteristics, such as obedience, tracking, and protection, during the course of the competition.
In the same story that was published in Parade, Haas continued, “Dick had taken the time to read the article that discussed the gigantic schnauzers that are used as police dogs in Europe. Consequently, that turned out to be the starting point, and now we have Tank.”
Giant Schnauzers have a reputation for being protective and devoted to their owners. They originated in Germany. In addition to this, the breed is renowned for the intellect and instincts of a territorial dog. The American Kennel Club draws attention to an interesting fact when it states that gigantic schnauzers are one of the rare breeds that have a beard on their face.

Tank Has Amassed Quite A Fan Following For Itself
The episodes of FBI: International are live-tweeted by a large number of fans of the show, and Tank is invariably the character who generates the most conversation each week. Some people find it difficult to contain their excitement over the adorable puppy, and they consider Tank to be the primary motivation for them to watch the new series.
One person commented on a GIF of Tank by pleading with other users to “please defend Tank at all costs!”
In the second episode of the first season, titled “The Edge,” viewers were able to see Tank defeat an antagonist, and they were impressed with the dog’s performance:

FBI is a crime drama television series that is broadcast in the United States on CBS. It was produced by Dick Wolf and Craig Turk, and the series made its debut on September 25, 2018. CBS Studios and Universal Television are responsible for producing the series, and Wolf, Arthur W. Forney, Peter Jankowski, and Turk serve as executive producers.

The character Dick Wolf from Law & Order was the one who established the FBI. The search for the primary cast began in March of 2018, with Zeeko Zaki, and continued until they found Missy Peregrym. After those four days have passed, on May 16, 2018, during the teaser, Connie Nielsen, who plays Ellen and has lately left the series, says goodbye. On July 23, 2018, Sela Ward was chosen to portray the role of Dana Mosier, taking over for Connie Nielsen, who had previously played Ellen in the show’s pilot.

The inner-workings of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s New York office criminal section serve as the backdrop for the series’ primary focus (FBI).
