When a child is taken from their home on an island where they live in relative privacy, two neighbors suddenly find themselves in a horrific scenario. In order to get away from her troubled past and live a quiet life with her dog, Lou (Janney), played by Anney, moved to this island.

However, her peaceful existence is shattered when her neighbor Hannah (Jurnee Smollett), played by Jurnee Smollett, comes to her for assistance after her daughter is abducted.

Lou and Hannah will have no choice but to put their lives on the line in a perilous rescue mission that will force them to come face to face with their troubled histories and the secrets they have been keeping. Other cast members include Logan Marshall-Green, Ridley Bateman, and Matt Craven.

Anna Foerster is the director of the film Lou, which can be found on Netflix. Jack Stanley and Maggie Cohn worked together to write the script.

“Lou”: Release Date Of Upcoming Netflix Movie

The first episode of Lou will air this coming Friday, September 23, and will last for 1 hour 47 minutes. If you have to be at work or school the next day, it is highly recommended that you wait until Friday evening to unwind and watch the movie rather than attempting to cram it in on Thursday night, as the film clocks in at just under two full hours.

“Lou”: Production

When it was initially lined up at Paramount, production was scheduled to commence between the months of May and July 2020 in Vancouver, Canada. However, Bad Robot ultimately decided to produce the picture independently and land it with Netflix. June of 2021 marked the beginning of the film’s official production, which was completed in August of the same year.

In 2019, Allison Janney was chosen for the role.

Alongside Janney, Jurnee Smollett became attached to the project on April 28, 2021, in order to play a key part. Both of them are going to be executive producers for the project.
