“Rick And Morty” (Season 6): Recap Of Episode 10

The Smith family is seen in the beginning of Episode 10 celebrating Christmas in festive snowy weather with Grandpa Rick, who has been acting so well lately that it is difficult for the rest of his family to determine if he is real or not.

The episode is titled “Ricktional Mortpoon’s Rickmas Mortcation,” and it is the title of the episode. However, Rick had brought presents for everyone, such as a CD of “Miracle on 34th Street” for Jerry, a picture of Rick and young Beth for Beth and Space Beth because no one knew who the actual Beth was, and obviously Obi-lightsaber wan’s with a blue plasma blade for Morty.

Rick had also brought a picture of Rick and young Beth for Beth and Space Beth because no one knew who the actual Beth was.

Rick took Morty to the garage to show him that the lightsaber was indeed real after the latter refused to believe that he actually possessed the item.

Even after Rick gave Morty the instruction to kill him, the villain still managed to vanish and then reappear, much like Obi-wan did in “Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope” (1977). However, because Morty was so excited, he made a mistake, and the lightsaber fell perfectly straight down the floor of the garage.

Morty and Rick moved fast in pursuit of it as it continued to penetrate the various layers of the basement in a vertical direction. In spite of this, they were able to follow the lightsaber all the way down to floor 10 of the basement, where Morty discovered Rick in his true form.

Morty was thrown into a state of utter devastation when he learned that the kindest grandfather Rick, the one who had given him the lightsaber, was actually a robot that had been constructed by the real Rick.

“Rick And Morty” (Season 6): Ending Explained Of Episode 10

  • While this was going on, Robot Rick attempted to communicate with his family about the fact that he was a robot, but no one understood him.
  • Morty did end up coming back, and when he did, he revealed the truth, which ultimately led to Summer, Beth, and Space Beth killing Rick the robot. Robot Rick’s heart’s goal was to be freed from the obligation of constantly trying to win over Morty and his family for good, thus he was content to go out on a high note.
  • However, it seemed like Robot Rick had something else to do since, while in the space white house, the president was tinkering around with the lightsaber, and then it dropped down vertically again, invading the floor.
  • This occurred after the president had played with the lightsaber. Therefore, being aware that he would not receive any assistance from “Rick and Morty,” he announced it on television in order to make Morty aware of the situation.
  • Because Rick continued to ignore Morty’s warnings, Morty realized that Rick would never be able to devise a solution to the problem. As a result, Morty resurrected the robot version of Rick and ordered him to stop the lightsaber.

  • The president’s level of fear increased after he learned that the robot Rick had succeeded in stealing the lightsaber, and as a result, he prepared for an assault by Morty. Morty made his way inside the space equivalent of the White House and issued a challenge to fight the president.
  • The president retreated into his private chamber, which was crammed to the gills with lightsaber-wielding robots, but none of them were of any use.
  • After slaughtering all of those worthless droids with his lightsaber, Morty was finally approaching the president to blast him out with a rainbow lightsaber pistol, but in the meantime, the robot Rick saved the president by taking all of the lightsabers for him.
  • Morty allayed the president’s anxieties by reassuring him that robot Rick’s intention was not to save the president but rather to end his own life. After what seemed like an eternity, the lightsabers finally began to separate from Rick’s body and fell to the ground in a perfectly upright position.
  • As a result, the floor of the basement was destroyed, and Morty, Robot Rick, and the president all fell to their deaths. However, the real Rick brought them all back to safety by bringing them back through a portal in their home.
  • Nobody thought to call an Uber for the president so that he could leave in a secure manner. The end was near for Rick the robot, and as he passed away, he said a few kind words to the real Rick.
  • He explained that the real Rick was the one who wanted his family to adore him, but since he couldn’t achieve this goal, he built a robot in his likeness; therefore, Rick was actually trying to be nice to Morty.
  • When Morty’s grandfather encouraged him to come down to the basement to see what he was up to, Morty understood that his grandfather was trying to keep him around because he didn’t want to lose him.
  • And Morty made their way down into Rick’s subterranean room, where Rick was seeking to locate evidence of Rick Prime’s existence on a giant monitor. However, the monitor showed that Rick Prime was present in every location.
  • Rick’s relentless search for Rick Prime, who was responsible for the death of his wife, had come dangerously close to destroying his life, but he refused to give up the hunt. On the contrary, he was more interested in the prospect of tracking down and eliminating his most sworn adversary.
  • Fighting against a different version of himself is the most difficult challenge Rick has faced in his life, but he chose to involve Morty in the fight because he wanted Morty to feel like he was a part of it.
  • Rick greeted Morty with open arms as he entered his darkness and foretold that season 7 of “Rick and Morty” would feature a significantly more exciting adventure. As a result, it is up to Morty to decide whether to retreat from the perilous situation or to charge headfirst into it alongside his grandfather Rick, who is not the friendliest of people.

“Rick And Morty” (Season 6): Did Rick & Morty Find Common Ground At The End?

In his final moments, Robot Rick reveals that the reason he was made by Rick was so that Rick could be nicer to Morty. Robot Rick explains that his programming is based on Rick, despite the fact that he is intended to be nice to Morty and make everyone happy.

Robot Rick’s programming is centered on Rick. As a result, everything that the robot did was something that Rick would have done himself if he had been there. Because of this, Robot Rick approaches Morty and urges him to forgive his grandfather, which paves the way for the titular characters to make amends with one another.

Rick admits, after Robot Rick has been deactivated, that he has become obsessed with locating Rick Prime. He has never been this close to discovering Rick Prime, and at last he is in possession of some significant hints.

Morty is invited back inside Rick’s laboratory, despite the fact that Rick did not apologize to him. Rick takes Morty around the many locations that Rick Prime has visited in the most recent past across a variety of dimensions.

Rick divulges the information that it is physically impossible to capture Rick Prime because he is present in multiple areas at the same time. At the conclusion of the episode, Rick makes the announcement that he and Morty will be working together in the subsequent season to find Rick Prime.

Rick warns Morty that Rick Prime is exceedingly risky, but he will accompany Morty on the assignment nevertheless because Morty has requested that he do so. It is currently unknown whether or not Rick and Morty will find Rick Prime, and whether or not Rick will have his revenge.

The fact that Rick is so fixated on locating Rick Prime and is so eager to bring Morty along with him virtually guarantees that they will be successful in their mission. As a result, the season comes to an end with the foreshadowing of a doomsday scenario involving either Rick or Morty, as well as the promise of a showdown between Rick and Rick Prime.

In spite of this, the fact that Rick and Morty will be working together once more is evidence that things are getting back on track between the grandfather and the grandson, and that they have made amends.

Will There Be Season 7 For “Rick And Morty”?

The fact that Rick now has locations to go to in order to hunt down Rick Prime potentially means that the stage is set for the next season of the show, as Rick himself enthusiastically states in the closing scenes of Rick and Morty season 6, episode 10; this indicates that the stage is set for the next season of the show.

However, Rick’s clarification that this major storyline will be “not every episode, Morty, could be all happening in the background, who knows,” makes it clear that Rick and Morty season 7 will follow the path of the previous season, in balancing out episodic romps with no greater impact alongside sprinkling in its overarching plot.

This will be the case because it is clear that Rick and Morty season 7 will follow the path of the previous season. Given how nicely this was handled in the conclusion of Rick and Morty season 6, there is reason to be optimistic about the show’s future.
